Cafe Gyuldangri settles comfortably along the coastal stretch of Hangyeong-myeon in Jeju, offering more than just your typical seaside coffee stop. It blends the roles of a cafe, brunch spot, dessert shop, and souvenir store into an experience shaped by local flavors and ocean views. The vibe here is relaxed and casual, with a mix of indoor seating across two floors plus an al fresco third floor perfect for catching the sunset and taking in the sea breeze.

Visitors often come to unwind after exploring nearby attractions like the Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road, making it a natural rest point for travelers seeking a refreshing pause. The atmosphere carries the quiet charm of a beachside retreat, appealing to those who enjoy leisurely brunches or afternoon coffee accompanied by subtle citrus notes native to Jeju.

The menu showcases locally inspired drinks and treats that reflect the island’s famed produce. Hallabong (a type of Jeju citrus) features prominently, whether in a bright 한라봉아인슈페너, a freshly squeezed juice, or incorporated into signature cakes like the 귤당리 감귤밭 케이크 (Jeju citrus cake) and carrot cake variants. These desserts are popular both for their vibrant flavors and well-crafted presentation, making them particularly appealing to visitors who appreciate visually pleasing and authentic local sweets.

Other highlights include a range of citrus-infused lattes and smoothies, alongside sturdy options like artisanal brunch sandwiches and locally made jams, notably the handcrafted apple-carrot jam. The coffee—ranging from straightforward 아메리카노 to iced varieties—is noted for being solid and well-balanced, complementing the fresh and slightly sweet profile of Jeju’s fruit-based offerings.

For those planning a visit, mornings and late afternoons offer a sweet spot to enjoy the changing light, with the third-floor terrace providing panoramic views ideal for a slower pace, whether alone with a book or catching up with friends. Parking is convenient for those arriving by car, though public transport options might require extra planning given the cafe’s coastal setting.

It’s the kind of place where locals stop by for a casual brunch or an afternoon break in between coastal drives, drawn by the friendly hospitality and the subtle nods to Jeju’s agricultural heritage throughout the menu and decor. The overall experience feels thoughtfully rooted in place—a quiet pause where the sea and local citrus flavors shape the day.

This place is honestly so cute. My photos don’t do it justice. The drinks and treats were also delicious. And the owner was so nice. Perfect place to chill

Love the carrot cheese cake here. Regretted not getting another piece to take away. Had a relaxing lunch after visiting nearby Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road. Food was tasty and drinks refreshing, especially the hallabong drink.

This place is gorgeous. The cake is adorable, and delicious too! Their food is definitely instagram worthy. The decor and the external view is amazing too. It's 3 floors (1 and 2 indoor, 3 Al fresco). We managed to catch the sunset in addition to the beautiful sea view. Hard to get to if you don't have a car. But otherwise, parking is readily available.

This place has amazing brunch food! We had eggs with burger meat, some potatoes, fresh salad with regional carrots and a freshly baked croissant. The service is kind and open to foreigners speaking English. The menu was in English and had illustrations of the dishes. Of course everything is tangerine and carrot themed, and it’s so very cute. All around their 3 floors there are spots to take pictures, they even let you borrow their tangerine headbands. The view of the sea is amazing on a sunny day. I really recommend this place for a more western breakfast option in Jeju.

* kid-friendly and everyone welcoming cafe * I wanted to mention this in the top of my review so that it can have the highlight it deserves. This place was welcoming people from every age group that there were something to do for everyone. I happen to visit as a party of 3 generations and it was a delightful visit for everyone, even my boys who get easily bored wanted to stay longer. To be honest, my expectations were low when I entered this place, as there were only carrot cakes left in the cake section(! I’m not a carrot cake person) and the upper lounge was mentioned for kids to be not allowed. It turns out that it was more for safety precaution(kid were welcome to go upstairs with adult supervision) and my gosh the carrot cakes were the best cake I’ve had in years!! Its a moist cheese cake with nutty base and I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I want to come back just for the carrot cake itself! The orange coffee was really good and the blue lemonade was a hit for the boys. It is definitely a must visit, even with kids! So friendly and yummy and oh yes. Amazing view. Highly recommend. Will definitely visit again in a heartbeat.
